Writing about your healing
Your writing should take the reader on a journey. Think about what happened at the beginning, middle, and end of your experience and consider talking with a parent or Sunday School teacher for guidance. Feel free to share your healing and what you learned about God as if you were talking with a friend.

Anyone who has experienced inspiration or healing from studying Christian Science can write for the periodicals. You don't need to be a member of The Mother Church.
Testimonies of healing are accepted. We don’t currently accept poems or songs from teens.
100–500 words.
Although our editors will help to edit your draft if it’s accepted for editing, we highly recommend that you self-edit first and send us the best version of your draft. To help prepare your submission, you may find it useful to read your piece aloud or have a trusted friend or adult read it and share feedback.
We are not able to publish all submissions, as some may not be a right fit for publication. Whether or not your submission is published, writing and articulating gratitude for God and Christian Science always brings the blessings of spiritual growth. The thought and prayer that goes into writing each piece is a healing power that cannot help but uplift and comfort the world. There are many reasons why individual pieces are not accepted for editing, and you are welcome to be in touch with our Editorial Team to understand why your particular piece was returned—just email us at jshwrite@csps.com. Even editors have articles or testimonies returned and learn how to write better in the process. We hope you will continue to contribute to the periodicals whether or not your submission is accepted.
A staff editor will be in touch via email or phone. Please continue to check your email, as editing can include multiple exchanges between you and your staff editor.
Together, you can have honest dialogue about editing suggestions and work to clarify metaphysical ideas. The editing process is a prayerful partnership that requires humility from both you and your staff editor. It includes many opportunities for spiritual discernment and listening.
- Your thoughtfully prepared draft
- Your contact information
- Contact information for three verifiers (if submitting a testimony or an article that includes a healing)
- If you are under 18 years old, you will need a parent to agree to the Copyright Agreement included in the submission form
Each published healing is verified by at least three people to uphold its integrity and validity. There are two types of verifiers—witnesses to the healing and those who didn't witness the healing but are vouching for your integrity. Of your verifiers, at least one must be a Christian Scientist and at least two must be people outside your family. You are not responsible for getting the verifications; the staff editor will contact the individuals you list on your submission form.
