In the course of preparing this new edition, two salient observations have emerged. First, an admiration for the clarity and integrity of Peel’s scholarship. Second, a recognition that, as much as at any other time, our world can only benefit from a deeper understanding of Mary Baker Eddy’s life, profound spiritual insights, and significant contribution to the forward progress and uplift of humankind.
